At three points in Queer Flourishing, I mention that the extended discussion of a literary work exceeds what can be included in my book, due to copyright issues. Nonetheless, I believe these fuller explorations of The Boys in the Band and The End of Eddy to be of potential value, so I still wanted to make them available to readers. Apparently, sharing on the web versus in a published book does not raise the same copyright issues.

 

Pulling these longer discussions out of my book and putting them here also has the advantage of not dragging unwilling readers through detailed treatments of characters and plot lines with which they may not be familiar!
